What is a Dyson Swarm?

A Dyson swarm is a cloud of satellites orbiting a star, capturing its energy. Not a solid shell, just millions of independent collectors in their own orbits. It's the most realistic version of a megastructure humanity could actually build someday.

Our Sun blasts out 3.828 x 10^26 watts every second. Earth's entire civilization uses about 1.8 x 10^13 watts. That means even a hilariously bad Dyson swarm, covering a tiny fraction of the Sun at garbage efficiency, still produces an obscene amount of power.
